SILVER MISSION

- Fee: 0

Silver Mission holds a special place in our heart.

He is a home bred by our very own stallion Mission Impazible. He was not only the first winner for Mission Impazible but the first stakes winner when he coasted to a 6 length victory in the prestigious Tremont S. at Belmont.  At two years of age he stood maybe 15 hands tall and was nick-named Peewee because of his size.
Most two-year-olds don’t ever get to see the backside of Churchill Downs during KY Derby week, but Peewee being a Pletcher barn favorite, was situated in the 2nd stall, close to the office, between KY Derby contenders Outwork (who stood 17 hands tall) and Twin Creeks’ hopeful DESTIN.

At the age of three, his peers were growing up and getting stronger and he was no longer able to compete at the stakes level.  We decided to bring him back to the farm to begin life after racing.

The transition was flawless. He is super smart like his sire and loves people. We attended a  5-Day Liberty Clinic at Double Dans Horsemanship in Lexington. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had and would highly recommend  going if you  have the chance. The connection that Silver and I share is magical!  With only 2 1/2 months of Liberty training, we entered our first International Liberty Horse Show and won the Intermediate Liberty class.  Today we continue to master the craft of Liberty together.   ~ Kim
