At Twin Creeks Farm, we always love seeing the horses we breed succeed—not only on the racetrack, but long after their racing careers are over. One of our homebreds, Impressionist, a gray son of Mission Impazible, is doing exactly that in one of the most unique equestrian sports in the world.
Now known as Lick ’em for Luck, the talented gray Thoroughbred recently made headlines by becoming the fastest skijoring horse in the world.
At the 78th annual Leadville Skijoring competition in Leadville—the highest city in the United States at an elevation of 10,154 feet—Lick ’em for Luck teamed up with rider Richard Weber III and skier Lane Feldeisen to capture the Open Division title.
The trio dashed through the snowy course in spectacular fashion, navigating ski gates, jumps, and ring grabs while clocking the fastest time of the day.
