Pashmina Secures Kentucky Oaks Berth with Gritty Gazelle Performance

Red White & Blue Racing is proud to announce that Pashmina has earned her place in the starting gate for the Kentucky Oaks, solidifying her position among the top three-year-old fillies in the country.

With a determined and game effort in the Gazelle Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack, Pashmina delivered a performance that not only showcased her talent, but also secured the points needed to qualify for the Oaks. Finishing just shy of victory, she proved she belongs on racing’s biggest stage.

Trained by Rob Atras, Pashmina exited the race in excellent order—cooling out quickly and continuing to show the consistency and professionalism that have defined her campaign.

“Efforts like that are what this game is all about,” said connections. “She ran with heart, and she’s earned the opportunity to take her shot.”

Currently sitting comfortably within the top tier of the Oaks leaderboard, Pashmina has positioned herself for a start in the $1.5 million Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs on May 1. The race represents the pinnacle for three-year-old fillies, and earning a spot is a significant accomplishment in itself.

Since its founding in 2022, Red White & Blue Racing has built a reputation for identifying and developing high-quality runners capable of competing at the highest levels. Pashmina’s rise to the Kentucky Oaks stage is a reflection of that vision—combining careful selection, patient development, and a commitment to excellence.

As preparations begin over the coming weeks, excitement continues to build among the ownership group.

One of racing’s most prestigious stages awaits—and Pashmina has earned her place.
