Mission Impazible is on Fire with Three Stakes Entries This Weekend

MISSION IMPAZIBLE, Leading Sire by Earnings, will try to lengthen his lead this weekend. Two of his off-springs, will try to run one-two in the Rockville Centre S. while Paz The Bourbon will look to enter the winner’s circle in the Lynbrook S. on Sunday, closing day at Belmont.

Twin Creeks Racing will send out two Mission Impazible colts SILVER MISSION and Ethan Hunt in the Rockville Centre S. on Saturday. It is the 3rd race on the card for NY bred two-year-olds going 6 furlongs with a purse of $125,000. Estimated post time is 2:32 PM.

SILVER MISSION, trained by Todd Pletcher, is two for two and winner of the Tremont S. by 6-1/4 lengths, will most likely be the morning line favorite. John Velasquez has the call and will break from the outside post.

His stable mate Ethan Hunt, also trained by Todd Pletcher, had a rough debut finishing 3rd and ultimately disqualified to 9th place last time out.  He had a bullet published work on 7/13/16  and looks to greatly improve in his 2nd start. He is a half brother to GSW Teeth of the Dog and is a full brother to the colt recently purchased by Zayat Stables at the Fasig-Tipton July Sale for $185,000. He will be ridden by Irad Ortiz and will break from post position two.

On Sunday, the filly Paz the Bourbon, by Mission Impazible, will break from post four under Joel Rosario in the $125,000 Lynbrook S. for trainer Mark Henning and Bourbon Lane Stable. She finished a game second in her debut coming from 5th to 2nd in mid-stretch and looks to improve with more ground. The Lynbrook is the final stakes race of Belmont’s spring-summer meet before races move to Saratoga for the 40-day meet beginning Friday, July 22. Estimated post time is 5:45 PM.
