Twin Creeks Farm Celebrates Chasing Liberty’s Jim McKay Stakes Victory and Millionaire Milestone

Twin Creeks Farm proudly celebrates another major accomplishment from its breeding program as Chasing Liberty delivered a thrilling victory in the Jim McKay Turf Sprint Stakes, becoming the latest millionaire bred by Twin Creeks Farm.

The son of Constitution out of the mare Peaceful added another milestone to an already accomplished career with his dramatic nose victory at Laurel Park. In a hard-fought finish, Chasing Liberty surged through along the rail under jockey Irad Ortiz Jr., getting his nose down at the wire to defeat rival Outlaw Kid in a final time of 1:01.37.

The victory carried added significance, as Chasing Liberty turned the tables on Outlaw Kid after finishing just behind him in the King T. Leatherbury Stakes earlier this spring. Showing his trademark determination, Chasing Liberty saved ground throughout before finding room late and delivering his powerful closing kick when it mattered most.

The Jim McKay triumph marked another stakes victory for the talented runner while pushing his career earnings beyond the $1 million mark, making him the newest millionaire produced by Twin Creeks Farm.

For Twin Creeks, the achievement represents far more than a purse milestone.

Producing elite runners capable of competing at the highest levels has long been a cornerstone of the program, and seeing a horse progress from carefully planned mating decisions to millionaire status is among the sport’s most rewarding accomplishments.
